On Apr. 16, Paul Robinson began serving as interim pastor at Port Rowan (Ont.) MB Church for an 18-month term. Previously, he was pastor at Tillsonburg (Ont.) Christian & Missionary Alliance Church and served briefly with Micah Challenge. Paul and Carol have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
Richmond (B.C.) Bethel Church commissioned Scott Tolhurst as lead pastor Apr. 22. Previously he served as pastor of adult ministries at South Abbotsford (B.C.) MB Church. Scott and Miriam have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren.
Will Born will be leaving Gardom Lake (B.C.) Bible Camp and Conference Centre for another ministry opportunity effective Oct. 31. Board chair David Marshall says Gardom Lake has thrived under Will’s leadership and the legacy he leaves will benefit all.
Wayne Bremner has been appointed executive director of Mennonite Central Committee B.C. effective July 1. Wayne has served MCC BC for the last 10 years, as director of employment and community development and most recently as program and personnel director. Prior to moving to B.C., Wayne worked overseas with MEDA and Mission Aviation Fellowship. MCC BC board member Ernie Schmidt says the search committee recognized Wayne’s “strong faith commitment to Christ’s message of forgiveness and peace, and his passion for the work of MCC.” He succeeds Laura Loewen, whose resignation takes effect June 30.
