Stewardship ministry warns about affinity fraud

Previous | Next

Stewardship Ministries of the MB Conference recently shared the billing at a luncheon for the Chilliwack, B.C. business community.

Sponsored by the B.C. Securities Commission in association with Stewardship Ministries and area hospital chaplains, the meeting warned 42 business and professional leaders about the dangers of affinity fraud criminals. (See “Pearls Thrown to Swine,” Nov. 24, 2006 Herald.) The Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce also partnered in the event.

Stewardship Ministries representative Al Thiessen said he was pleased with this first cooperative effort and with the profile given to MB work on financial stewardship. He is working on similar events in other communities.
