Rob Reimer has been appointed president of Steinbach (Man.) Bible College, beginning June 1. Rob is currently serving as pastor of Highland MB Church, Calgary, and has held pastoral positions in Winnipeg, California, and Kansas. He was also executive director of Winkler Bible Camp for a number of years. Rob and Myrna have 3 children and are looking forward to becoming part of the Steinbach community.

John Wiens completed his ministry as associate pastor at Gracepoint Church, Surrey, B.C. John and Evelyn will be moving to Ukraine in September to serve with MBMSI.



On Mar. 1, Andrea Toews became children’s ministry director at Eastview Community Church, Winnipeg. She previously served as children’s pastor at Westwood Community Church in Winnipeg for 3 years. She and Tim, a teacher, are pictured with their children Hannah (7), Thomas (10), and Isaiah (12).

Don Craw began serving as pastor of The Dwelling Place, Kitchener, Ont. on September 1, 2006.

Baptisms and new members

  • Forest Grove Community Church, Saskatoon, welcomed 6 new members by baptism in January: Becky Friesen, Dange Huang, Elaine Lebiszczak, Heather Drysdale, Nick Dueck, and Cloe Roach.
  • Borden (Sask.) MB Church baptized 3 new members at Long Lake July 30: Ann Palmer, Deanna Wall, and Jackson Wiebe.
