The Mennonite Brethren Herald welcomed Barrie McMaster as B.C. regional correspondent Feb. 5. In his newly created part-time position, McMaster will ensure that the province receives high quality, comprehensive, ongoing editorial coverage. About half of all Canadian Mennonite Brethren live in B.C.

McMaster comes with a wealth of experience, including more than 25 years as a radio news reporter, editor, program manager, and announcer with CKNW Radio, CJVI Radio, CKLG Radio, STAR-FM Radio, and CBC-TV, Vancouver. He also worked as a journalism instructor at the B.C. Institute of Technology. McMaster is a member of Broadway MB Church, Chilliwack, where he currently serves as moderator. He is also president elect of the Rotary Club of Chilliwack. McMaster and his wife Jan have 6 grown children. If you have story or news ideas for him, please contact him.
