Global consultation on MB education a first

Previous | Next

A historic event for global Mennonite Brethren will convene June 4–10 in Fresno, Cal.

Representatives of every MB-owned or related institution of higher education worldwide will meet for an international consultation on higher education, hosted by ICOMB (International Committee of Mennonite Brethren).

The first day will focus on “The worldview of MB higher education,” followed the next day by “The meaning of Anabaptism for higher education.” Other topics concern the missional character of Christian higher education. There will also be presentations and discussion of practical topics like vision/mission, governance, curriculum, technology, resources, faculty, and students.

While institutionally under ICOMB’s umbrella, this global event is being organized by Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, Fresno Pacific University, and the Council of Senior Professionals in Fresno.

Victor Wall, ICOMB executive secretary
