Neil Janzen of Winnipeg has been named chair of the Mennonite Central Committee Canada (MCCC) board of directors. He replaces Ron Dueck who now serves as the chair of the MCC international board. Janzen brings a wealth of community and international experience to the position. He began his career as a teacher, and he and his wife Herta served as MCC’s representatives in India. Janzen later earned an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. He was president of Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) for 10 years, and vice-president of administration at Concord College for three. He has chaired various boards and has been moderator of the MB Conference of Manitoba. “I enjoy organizational development,” Janzen says. “It’s a challenge to consider how organizations should be structured to serve their mission effectively.” The Janzens are members of Elmwood MB Church, Winnipeg. —MCC release
