David Leung has agreed to expand his role with Stewardship Ministries of the Canadian Conference of MB Churches to a full-time position. Leung began working as part-time stewardship representative for the B.C. region in May 2005 and has experienced a strong, positive reaction to his work from the constituency.

Justice (Man.) MB Church held a commissioning service Jan. 29 for Rebecca Harms, who is in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan for a third term with Youth With a Mission.

Sally Brodland began as part-time pastor of children’s ministry at the Winkler (Man.) MB Church on Jan. 3. She and her husband Dale moved to Winkler from Winnipeg several years ago, following a job opportunity for him. She has been working as a substitute teacher and educational assistant. Don and Una Froese are the new pastoral couple for worship and young adults at Forest Grove Community Church, Saskatoon, effective May 1. Their ministry life began at Forest Grove in 1987, and continued in South Calgary Community Church, Lakewood Baptist Church, Saskatoon, and Fairmont Baptist Church, Saskatoon. They have four children: Maja, 15, Janna, 13, Jeremy, 12, and Tegan, 8.

Roland Balzer resigned from the position he held for almost 18 years as pastoral elder of Highland Community Church, Abbotsford, B.C., effective April 30. South Vancouver Pacific Grace MB Church has a new senior pastor. Matthew Sin, a professional engineer, came to B.C. from Hong Kong in 1994 to study at Regent College. After graduation, he returned to Hong Kong, where he served in the Taipe Peace Evangel Church. His family immigrated to Canada in 2005. He is married to Sub-yee Ho; they have two children, Lok-man and Lok-yin.

Craig Reimer, who has been on the leadership team at Westwood MB Church, Prince George, for more than 10 years, has started a new position as young adult pastor, focusing on that age group as well as information technology. He is a graduate of Bethany Bible College, Hepburn, Sask., and Columbia Bible College, Abbotsford, B.C. He and Lisa have three children, Sydney, 9, Quin, 7, and Connor, 6.
