Al Rempel is completing his ministry as associate pastor of youth at Sardis Community Church, Chilliwack, B.C. June 30, after 11 years on staff. He and his wife Heather and their three children are excited to see where God’s leading will take them next.

When two Mennonite Brethren churches in the Surrey area of B.C. – Panorama Community Church and Peace Arch Fellowship – integrated into one congregation last September, they had a new identity. They also wanted a new name. Gracepoint Community ChurchOutside link has been chosen as the name that best reflects the values of both congregations. Peter Nikkel is senior pastor.

Tim Froese has been appointed Mennonite Church Canada Witness executive director of International Ministries and partnership facilitator for Latin America. He and his wife Karen and their 3 children spent 6 years in Seoul, South Korea with MC Canada Witness, where he founded the Korea Anabaptist Center. They have also served in Panama and Brazil with Mennonite Brethren Mission and Service. They are members of Jubilee Mennonite Church, Winnipeg.
