Poem

Born crucified

Sheila Braun

Previous | Next

He intentionally planted the tree
his carved cross

Willingly he created iron ore
his cast nails

He voluntarily formed Judas in the womb
his born accuser

Purposely he placed Pilate to rule
his selected judge

if there had been no
ropes to bind him

soldiers to lead him

crowd to testify

with my face in his vision,

he would have

nailed his own palms

chosen death

for me
