Gathering 2006: Let Your Kingdom Come...

Mennonite Jazz Committee and Quest to perform at Gathering 2006

Previous | Next

The Mennonite Jazz Committee from Abbotsford, B.C. will headline the opening night coffeehouse at Gathering 2006, July 6–8 in Calgary. Led by Nelson Boschman, this group is known for excellent jazz musicianship and the members’ leadership and commitment in the Christian community.

The coffeehouse is designed to facilitate interaction among delegates in a relaxed setting. Delegates typically express a desire to get reacquainted and organizers believe this will be an enjoyable way to begin the convention.

Other special guests will be Quest, a drama group from Summerside Community Church in Edmonton. Quest is an outreach component of Summerside’s youth ministry. These young people have travelled extensively with powerful messages of salvation and discipleship.

Gathering 2006, the biennial convention of the Canadian Conference of MB Churches, will take place at the University of Calgary under the theme “Let Your Kingdom Come.”
