Cover mosaic: “Evensong” by Jane Martens

Jane Martens is a gifted musician and visual artist. Several years ago, while serving as Creative Design Director at The Meeting Place church (Winnipeg), she initiated a community art project of three large mosaics that became the basis for their Easter sermon series. Through this experience Martens learned to love working in this art form. She has translated her passion into a business (blue sky mosaic). As she works she prays that God will speak to people through her art. At times she has been moved to include certain symbols that later have a deep spiritual meaning to recipients of her work.

Martens is involved with The Meeting Place and St. Benedict’s Table. She accepts commissions.
