James Bergen will become pastor of North Fresno MB Church, effective March 1. He served 5 years as pastor of Peace Arch Fellowship in Surrey, B.C. He and Marcy have two children, Audrey, 3, and CJ, 1.



Terry Doerksen (above, middle) began as youth pastor of Westwood Community Church, Winnipeg, Sept. 1. He was the custodian at the church for 4 years and led the middle school youth program as a volunteer. He is married to Deb McMillan and they have 3 children: John, 17, Devon, 13, and Luke, 12.

Jim and Marilou Nightingale are leaving Redberry Bible Camp, Hepburn, Sask., where he served as director for 2 years, to start a camping ministry and train leaders in Sao Paulo, Brazil, under MB Mission and Service International. Previously, they served 9 years with MBMSI in Portugal and Brazil, and were pastor couple at the Yarrow (B.C.) MB Church for 6 years. Their younger children, Joshua, 13 and Zechariah, 6, will accompany them to Brazil.

Kae Neufeld ended 6 years ministry as associate pastor at Lendrum MB Church, Edmonton, on June 30. She is serving as co-interim director of Community Justice Ministries of MCC Alta. and working on her DMin degree from St. Stephen’s College in Edmonton. She is married to Don; they have 3 grown children.

Grant Galpin recently resigned as pastor of Saddleridge Community Church in Calgary.



Ed and Cheryl Heinrichs (above) were commissioned Sept. 11 as pastor couple of Cornerstone Community Church, Virgil, Ont. Ed has been spiritual life director at Eden High School for 10 years, and they have been members at Cornerstone. They have two children, Josh and Nicki.

  • Evergreen Heights Christian Fellowship, Simcoe, Ont. welcomed 9 new members July 10, 3 by baptism and 6 by confession of faith.
