Urban church planting consultant appointed

Winnipeg, Man.

Previous | Next

Fred Stoesz has joined Evangelism Canada as half-time urban church planting consultant, working in support of urban church planting opportunities.

Stoesz and his wife Jolene have served some 30 years with World Impact, an urban church planting organization in the U.S. They lived 19 years in Los Angeles and 10 in Wichita, Kan. They have planted several urban congregations and continue to give oversight to urban churches planted through World Impact.

Fred grew up in southern Manitoba and Kelowna, B.C. and Jolene is originally from Hillsboro, Kan. They currently reside in Winnipeg. Their five children live in the U.S.

“Our desire is to support the mission of Evangelism Canada by coming alongside its existing vision, even as we seek to expand urban church planting opportunities,” Stoesz says. “We want to help encourage the increased planting of churches in Canada’s own communities of the urban poor, through teaching, equipping and mentoring.”
