Mark Johnson was installed as youth pastor at Vineland (Ont.) MB Church on Sept. 25. Ontario conference pastor Mark Johnson (left) and moderator Larry Dirksen (right) participated in the installation. Mark and Patty have three children, Emma, 6, Hannah, 5, and Ben, 16 months. Mark is finishing his MTS degree at Tyndale Seminary, Toronto, and has previously worked in construction and part-time youth ministry.

Stacey and LeeAnne Ellertson are waiting on the Lord for further direction after serving nearly 2 years as part-time associate pastor of care and counselling at Bridgeway Community Church, Swift Current, Sask.



On Sept. 18, pastor Hugh Froese, assistant moderator Ann Kroeker and deacons laid hands on Mark Loewen at his commissioning as youth pastor of South Park MB Church, Altona, Man. Mark and the congregation were called to “build” together and to echo the words in Nehemiah, “Let us begin this good work.” He is from Altona, and has studied at Briercrest College in Caronport, Sask., Youth With a Mission in Mexico and New Zealand, and Outtatown (Canadian Mennonite University, Winnipeg) and also worked as an intern with MBMSI’s Youth Mission International program.

Randy and Myrna Chase, who left Woodrow (Sask.) MB Church this summer after 12 years of ministry there, now serve as pastor of the Virden (Man.) Baptist Church.

Portage Avenue MB Church, Winnipeg, has changed its name to Portage Avenue Church.
