Leanne Abrahams has been affirmed as children’s ministry pastor at Westwood MB Church, Prince George, B.C. She previously worked as part-time assistant. She is married to Todd and they have 2 children: Jayvin and Kylie. The new part-time assistant children’s ministry pastor is Holly Wolitski.
Chris and Adrienne Stevens are leading a second church plant in Ottawa, under the Ontario MB Conference’s “Love Toronto” initiative, in a new community of some 5,000 people called Riverside South. Chris has worked as a financial manager and most recently as Gen-X pastor at David Mainse’s former church in Hamilton. Adrienne was working in cancer research at McMaster University. Their daughter, Sparrow, was born in May.
Paul and Carol Dick resigned as pastor of outreach and pastoral care at South Abbotsford (B.C.) MB Church as of Sept. 30.
MCC Manitoba has appointed Peter Rempel as executive director, beginning Nov. 1. Rempel, a member of Charleswood Mennonite Church, Winnipeg, has worked for Mennonite Church Canada Witness as facilitator for partnerships in Africa and Europe, as well as in various roles with Mennonite World Conference and Africa Inter-Mennonite Mission.
Clint and Nikki Hartog accepted the position of youth pastor in Herbert (Sask.) MB Church, beginning August 15. Previously they ministered in Kamsack, Sask. Clint is a graduate of Millar School of the Bible, Pambrun, Sask.
Jason Harris is the new half-time associate pastor of worship ministries, contemporary service, at Bakerview MB Church, Abbotsford. He was previously involved in worship leading in Garden Valley Church, Kelowna, B.C. and Orchard Valley Church, Winfield, B.C. and is working on his BA in Worship Arts at Columbia Bible College. He is married to Sheryl and they have 3 children: Rachael, Mic and Keziah.
Miroslav and Nadya Peyter, pastors at Slavic Evangelical Church, Winnipeg (part of Portage Ave. MB Church) for five years, have had to return to Ukraine after their visas ran out and their Permanent Resident Application was denied.
Wes and Wendy Schatz have resigned after almost 10 years of ministry at Lucky Lake, Sask.
Mark Trew, young adult pastor, and Paul Woodburn, music and worship pastor, at Forest Grove Community Church, Saskatoon, have resigned from their positions. Mark has moved to El Salvador and Paul will be working at Bethany College.
The new lead pastor couple at Yarrow (B.C.) MB Church, as of July 15, is Eldon and Marcy Fehr. They previously ministered at Borden (Sask.) MB Church and most recently as associate pastor at Richmond (B.C.) Bethel MB Church. Their children are Jessica, 11, and Josh, 10. Ike and Shirley Bergen, who served the church as interim pastor, will stay on as part-time associate pastor couple.
Elroy and Lynn Sennecker, associate pastor at Ridgeview Community Fellowship in Calgary for 6 years, have taken up the pastoral responsibilities in Vauxhall (Alta.) MB Church, as of mid-August. They have 4 children: Caleb, 11, Rebecca, 7, Joshua, 5, and Rachelle, 3.

Patrice Nagant, church planting director for Quebec Mennonite Brethren, is adding the role of church planter as he leads a new church in Terrebonne, a French-speaking suburb in Montreal of 140,000 people with only 2 evangelical churches.
FaithWorks in Winnipeg has called Don Harms to serve as co-pastor with Mary Reimer. Don has just completed an MDiv at MB Biblical Seminary, Fresno, Calif. He and Lavonne, a dietician, were previously living and working in Winnipeg.
