Rick Bartlett has been appointed dean of students for the MB Biblical Seminary’s Fresno, California campus, effective immediately. Rick will work with the Student Leadership Team, serve on the Admissions Committee, and coordinate the Seminary’s mentoring program, student retreats, and chapel committee.
Rick is currently director of Ministry Quest, a program of the Seminary that helps churches call young adults into ministry. He is also an adjunct faculty member, teaching in the area of youth ministry. He is completing a Doctor of Ministry degree at George Fox Seminary in Oregon, in the area of leadership in emerging culture.
“I am pleased that Rick has agreed to accept this responsibility,” says Jim Holm, MBBS president. “He is a gifted communicator, excellent administrator, and will be an encourager to students and to the ministry of the Seminary.”
Rick is a 1992 graduate of MB Biblical Seminary. Before coming to work at the Seminary in July 2003, Rick spent ten years with Youth for Christ in Tacoma, Wash. and in England. Prior to that, he was a youth pastor in California. Rick and his wife Karen have two children, Grace and Toby.
