Marcia and Carlin Weinhauer

MBMS International welcomed Carlin Weinhauer to the team as Mobilization and Communications Team Leader, beginning Jan. 1.

Carlin Weinhauer recently served as pastor emeritus of Willingdon Church, Burnaby, B.C., following 15 years as the senior pastor. He and his wife, Marcia, began their pastoral ministry in 1963 in South Carolina. In the years following, they served in rural missionary work, Christian Education ministry, and he spent several years as an administrator and professor at Briercrest Bible College, Caronport, Sask.

He has a BA in Biblical Education from Columbia (South Carolina) Bible College, an MA in Practical Theology from Chicago Graduate School of Theology, an MA in Christian Education from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Alberta. He has used these academic resources in North America as a missions conference speaker, and also to minister around the world in a preaching, teaching and discipleship ministry.

Carlin and Marcia have three married daughters and eight grandchildren.

They have demonstrated their heart for missions during numerous mission trips to Europe, Africa and Asia, where they participated in mission conferences and ministry to local churches and pastors. They brought the mission emphasis to their recent pastorate at Willingdon Church as they ministered to this international church with a weekend attendance of 3800, where English services are simultaneously translated into at least eight languages. They also led the way in establishing an outreach effort to Chechen Muslims, which has become a church of 50 adults and children with a Chechen pastor.

Weinhauer brings to MBMS International a strong desire to network with people from across North America for the growth of God’s Kingdom. His position involves work in the areas of Media and Church Relations in North America.

“Paper informs, people inspire” formulates the basis of his philosophy for mobilizing people for mission involvement and introducing them to God’s vision for mission. While he believes his personal gifting is in the areas of teaching and discipleship, he also brings strength to the organization through his abilities as a team leader, prayer warrior and strategic thinker. He holds dual citizenship in Canada and the U.S., granting him easy access to both countries.

Randy Friesen, MBMS International General Director, invites your prayers on behalf of Carlin Weinhauer as he joins this team. “Carlin is a gifted and godly leader who has impacted thousands of younger leaders with Kingdom values. His love for the local church and God’s mission will impact our MB family as he serves in this new leadership role.”
