Ellen Duffield talking about developing character, confidence and competence as women in leadership

More than 200 delegates appreciated the chance to participate in learning workshops on Wednesday, July 7. Coordinated by Adult Ministry director Sharon Johnson, the seminars were grouped into the three foci of the Canadian MB Conference.

Under leadership development, there were seminars in leading worship by singer/songwriter Brian Doerksen, equipping women for ministry presented by Ellen Duffield and Bonnie Pioveson, and identifying leaders in the local church by John Neufeld of the Ministry Quest program.

The goal of healthy churches was addressed in a seminar by Grant Gordon on surviving and transforming church conflict, and in a seminar on spiritual direction.

Under reaching out, Chris Jones presented on engaging our culture, and staff from New Direction for Life Ministries addressed relating and ministering redemptively to homosexuals.
