Justin and Jodi Klassen, pictured with Saskatchewan MB Conference minister Ralph Gliege (right) and moderator Delmar Giesbrecht, were commissioned for ministry in the associate pastor role at Waldheim (Sask.) MB Church May 2. Justin did an internship at Waldheim last summer and recently graduated with a BA in pastoral ministry from Briercrest Bible College.



June 1, Garth Koop joined the leadership team at Westwood MB Church, Prince George, B.C. as youth pastor. He has been a youth pastor in Calgary and Waldheim, Sask. He has a B.A. from Briercrest Bible College and spent last year at Briercrest working on a Master’s degree in youth ministry. He and Carly have two sons, Tysen, 2, and infant Rylen.



Wayne and Candie Wright are the new pastor couple at New Life Christian Church, Toronto. He has been in pastoral ministry over 20 years, most recently as associate pastor at Philpott Memorial Church in Hamilton, Ont. He has a BA from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo and an MDiv from Providence College, Otterburne, Man. Candie is attending teacher’s college. They have three children, Amy, Michael and Jenna.

Baptisms and new members

  • Jennifer Carbert was baptized June 13, at the end of a family camp Northwest Community Church of Meadow Lake, Sask. held at Jeannette Lake.
  • The Neighbourhood Church of Nanaimo, B.C. welcomed 3 new members by baptism: Rosa Davis, Melanie Harris, and Andi Shinbine.
