An annual study of the sexual content in Hollywood movies shows that movies with explicit sex and nudity don’t sell. Less than 20% of the top 10 movies of 2001, 2002 and 2003 had excessive or graphic sex in them, while 63% had either a moral worldview or a Christian worldview. The bigger the amount and the stronger the sex and nudity in a movie, the worse it does at the box office. —Christian Film & Television Commission UPN’s proposed Amish in the City, scheduled to air this summer, is being opposed by Amish churches and The Center for Rural Strategies based in Whitesburg, Ky. This is the group that last year raised enough public outcry to halt CBS’s proposed show, The Real Beverly Hillbillies, which was to take Appalachian hill people and place them in a Los Angeles mansion for a year. —Mennonite Weekly Review A CD featuring music sung at the 2003 Mennonite World Conference in Buluwayo, Zimbabwe is now available. Produced by choir member Bryan Moyer Suderman, the CD is available from Pandora Press —MWC release | ||||||
