Gathering 2004 is our biennial Convention and is the reason for the Canadian MB meeting but “Love Toronto” is the reason for the location. “Love Toronto” is the Conference Key City Initiative #2. It targets Toronto for new church planting as a culturally diverse city overflowing with people who need Jesus. There are currently 5 church planters working in 3 languages (Russian, Punjabi and English). We want to gather next summer to “do business” and to support “Love Toronto”. It is our desire that Toronto will be different because we met there.
Worship
Worship leads us to the throne of God. Gathering 2004 will provide excellent opportunities for worship under the leadership of Brian Doerksen and Gareth Goossen.
Brian Doerksen has always had a passion for intimate worship. Some of his published songs include “Faithful One”, “Refiner’s Fire”, I Lift My Eyes Up”, “Come, Now is the Time to Worship”, “Light the Fire Again”, and “Hallelujah (Your Love is Amazing)”. Brian will kick-start Gathering 2004 with a Worship Concert.
Gareth Goossen is executive director of makeusholy. His passion is for renewal through worship, prayer and discipleship. Leading worship and seminars across North America, Gareth is excited at the moving of God’s Spirit, igniting the passion for God in young people and adults alike.
