Making our wedding Christian

Brenda and Michael Khoo

Previous | Next

We discussed the question of how to have a Christ-centred wedding in detail as we prepared for our ceremony Dec. 28, 2001. Before we were even engaged, we agreed that we wanted God to be the third cord of our relationship and our celebration. We were blessed to walk into a Chapters bookstore, and to see, out of the thousands of books on the shelves, the one called Inviting God to Your Wedding and Keeping God In Your Marriage by Martha Williamson. Filled with amazing insights, honest reflections and thought-provoking questions, the book helped us keep God at our centre as we prepared spiritually for our wedding, from the pre-engagement to the honeymoon. We continue to work on developing a Christian life two blissful years later.
