How to cultivate a missionary lifestyle

DGD: Inviting and influencing

Previous | Next

Practice eternal CPR.

Cultivate a relationship.
Plant seeds of good news in normal conversations.
Request a response at an appropriate time.

Participate in church evangelism events.

“Cheat” on the “planting” task! Invite your friend to a church planting event and let someone else present the gospel.
(Just be sure the event suits the person!)

Know how to present Christ.

A “canned” approach is okay. Memorize the bridge illustration and draw it on a napkin in a restaurant. But grow to be able to personalize ways to present Christ to meet your friend exactly where he or she’s at.

Serve others.

Do random acts of kindness and take your friend along. This shows your faith is practical and opens doors for meaningful conversation.
