Prayer for our Christian schools

Keith Poysti

Previous | Next

Our Father in heaven,
we pray for our students and faculty this academic year.

We ask that You provide them with the ordinary things of academic life:
stamina,
wisdom,
finances,
friends,
recall,
balance,
fairness,
nourishing food,
health,
and perspective.

And even more, Lord, we pray for the extraordinary things!
May the lives of faculty and staff at our Christian schools reflect
Your glory and beauty and purity.

May they be unclouded mirrors,
cleansed and polished by the Spirit of truth.

May our students be living examples of what it means to be
disciples of Jesus,
students of the Word,
followers of the Way,
“Christ ones.”

May our Christian campuses,
both in their myriad activities and their quiet moments,
be filled with the sense of Your holy presence.

May Jesus be the most popular guy on campus,
Your Holy Spirit the most sought-out counsellor,
and You, Father, the most welcome friend.

AMEN
