CMU announces vice-president appointment

David Leis

Canadian Mennonite University president Gerald Gerbrandt has announced the appointment of David Leis as Vice-President, Advancement. Leis has experience in business and public life, having served as mayor of the Township of Woolwich, Ont., and as general manager for the Chamber of Commerce of Kitchener and Waterloo. He holds a Masters of Public Administration degree from Queen’s University. He gained fundraising experience as development director at Rockway Mennonite College, Kitchener. Leis’s appointment coincides with the formation of a new CMU department – Advancement. The activities of donor and community relations, alumni relations, communications and enrolment services will be administered from this department.
