Langley, B.C.

Previous | Next

At the April 10–12 Board of Directors meetings for Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary (MBBS) held in Fresno, Calif., Regional Council members for the MBBS site within the Associated Canadian Theological Schools (ACTS) at Trinity Western University in Langley, B.C. were approved. They are (left to right): Doug Berg (Associate Dean), Jack Falk (Regional Chair), James Bergen, Bruce Guenther (faculty representative), Barbara McKenzie, Anthony Cheung, Harry Heidebrecht (Alberta MB Conference representative), Bob Friesen, Phil Gunther (Saskatchewan MB Conference representative), Dan Ratzlaff, Henry Schmidt (President) and Tim Klassen (student representative). The Executive of the B.C. MB Conference formed the Council, inviting representation from Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The model of “one seminary, multiple locations, diverse constituencies” is being actualized with the formation of this Regional Council. The role of the Council is to give governance to the teaching centre in matters of budget, constituency relations, academic programs and personnel matters, under the jurisdiction of the Board of Directors.
