This spring, we have addressed a number of weighty topics in the Feature section of the Herald – evangelism, faith, Easter and the nature of the church. We turn now to another weighty theme – understanding the Bible. Being able to interpret Scripture correctly is key to resolving many other significant questions we face. This will be the first of two issues on this theme. In this issue, we will look at the question of how to approach Scripture in general. In the next issue, we will publish some articles which expound specific passages of Scripture – on the theory that we will best learn how to interpret Scripture properly by seeing it done.
