Mennonite Heritage Centre Gallery curator Ray Dirks continues to showcase Mennonite artists from around the world at the Gallery in Winnipeg. May will see an exhibition of over 100 paintings and more than 40 photographs by Jacob Suderman. Suderman died in a Soviet gulag in approximately 1940 but the artwork was taken out of the country by fleeing relatives.

Dirks recently returned from the last of several gathering trips for exhibition project “Our Family” which will be shown first at Mennonite World Conference in Buluwayo, Zimbabwe, this August. “Our Family” will celebrate the global family of faith while revealing daily life through photographs and art.
