The theme for the weekend was “Past Voices, Prevailing Vision”. Keynote speaker was former interim pastor Daryl Busby, now president of Canadian Baptist Seminary in Langley, B.C. Faith stories of three members from three generations pointed to the marvellous impact that a church family can have. A highlight of Saturday evening was the music of the choir made up of former and current members, and led by former director John A. Janzen. The history of the church from 1927 to the present was shown in a powerpoint presentation. A Thanksgiving dinner became part of the celebration, as did listening to excerpts from taped sermons of former pastors. A building project to add to the facilities was also launched during the weekend.

A potpourri of various mission projects highlighted the mission festival Nov. 15–17. Spicy Indian dishes and a report on the Medical Centre in Jadcherla, India, began the weekend; a brunch on Saturday was followed by a presentation by Dave Loewen of Kingdom Ventures, telling about what God is doing through Christian camps in the former Soviet Union. Emmanuel Ali of Family Life Network spoke about Muslims and their beliefs during the Sunday school hour. Keynote speaker for the weekend was Gerald Hildebrand, regional director of MB Missions and Services International, speaking on the conference theme of “I will build my church”. Table displays and missions representatives also gave an overview of a wide variety of ministries.
