Previous | Next Fresno, Calif. Destination Africa

Angola, Congo, Zimbabwe. Churches, villages, Mennonite World Conference. Brother, sister, Jesus Christ. Whats the connection? All of these elements will combine to make a sensational African tour led by Sherryl Koop and Rob Neufeld next summer.

The tour will expose people from North America to Mennonite Brethren churches and other ministries in Africa, said Koop, who is also the Youth Ministry Director for the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. The tour is sponsored by MBMS International, the global mission agency of Mennonite Brethren churches in Canada and the United States.

For 18 days, the group will participate in ministry opportunities and offer support, encouragement and solidarity with brothers and sisters in Africa. The trip will be enriched by Rob Neufelds twelve years of experience as an MBMS International missionary in Congo. The tour will include attending the Mennonite World Conference in Zimbabwe.

This is a great opportunity to become involved in global ministry, said Koop. If youve ever been interested in foreign ministry or missions, this is fantastic way to get a small taste of it!

The tour is open to anyone interested. The dates are from July 21 to August 18, 2003. Cost is approximately $8,000-$9,000 Canadian dollars.
