Tom Yoder Neufeld’s book, Ephesians, in the Believers Church Bible Commentary Series published by Herald Press, has been nominated for the 2003 F.W. Beare Book Award. This award is offered annually by the Canadian Society of Biblical Studies in recognition of an outstanding book in the areas of Christian Origins, Post-Biblical Judaism and/or Graeco-Roman Religions. Yoder Neufeld is director of Graduate Studies at Conrad Grebel College in Waterloo, Ont.

Rock has compiled a wonderful collection of poetry for children, all about the environment. Poets include Walter de la Mare, Emily Brontë, Dorothy Wordsworth and Christina Rossetti. The poems selected make wonderful reading to children, and the pen and ink drawings by River, enhanced by splashes of colour, make it a fun book. Recommended for parents to read to their children. – sbb
