Navigating the Road Ahead: Clues, Questions, Secrets and Certainties is a book for college students. Coming in both a Christian version and a secular version, the book by Adam Erwin tells young people entering college that if they want to get off on the right foot they need “to find some people who have already been there”. College graduates give the advice they wish they’d been told when they first entered college.

The number of homosexual and lesbian characters on prime-time US television has declined from over 20 last season to seven this season. Eleven shows which featured gay characters last year (including Spin City, Felicity, Once and Again, The Ellen Show and Dark Angel) were cancelled, as were That 80s Show and The Education of Max Bickford, which featured bisexual and transgender characters. The remaining network shows with gay characters are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dawson’s Creek, ER, NYPD Blue, Will and Grace and MDs. However, at least six cable programs have multiple gay characters.
