Fresno, Calif.
MBBS president resigns

Cal Bergen

Picture
Henry Schmidt, president of Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, has announced his resignation, effective June 15, 2003. Dr. Schmidt is presently completing his tenth year as President of MBBS and his 34th year at the Seminary. The Board of Directors acknowledges with gratitude the significant leadership and teaching gifts Henry has brought to MBBS. He has led the Seminary through a decade of monumental change and has done it with effectiveness and distinction. The Board is grateful to God for the many years of faithful service Henry has given to MBBS, the Mennonite Brethren denomination and the larger church and world.

A search for a new president is in process.

 – Cal Bergen, Board Chair
