Winnipeg, Man.
Editorial assistant is reassigned

Peter Woelk completed his service as editorial assistant at the MB Herald on Aug, 31, 2002. He will not be replaced.

This reduction in the Herald staff is a result of the recent $70,000 cut in annual Canadian MB Conference funding to the Herald.

Woelk joined the Herald staff in January, 1998. He has been primarily responsible for preparing the Births, Weddings, Deaths, Personalia and People & Events sections, as well as some News and Crosscurrents material. The editors have been very grateful for his careful, conscientious work; his willing, cooperative spirit; and his undoubted devotion to Jesus Christ. We will miss him.

Effective Sept. 1, Woelk was transferred to a new position with the Canadian Conference. He will be working half-time for the Archives, quarter-time for Kindred Productions and quarter-time for a newly created Conference communications team.

Woelk is a graduate of MB Collegiate Institute, Winkler Bible Institute and MB Bible College. He is a member of the church council at North Kildonan MB Church in Winnipeg. He and his wife Teresa have two children, Alex, 8 and Zoe, 6.
