Ninetieth birthday celebrations were held for John Peter Hooge on May 12. He is married to Katie; they have 6 sons and 1 daughter. The Hooges are members of Greendale MB Church in Chilliwack, B.C.

A team of 24 missionaries from five countries took part in a Church Partnership Evangelism and Discipleship assignment in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in April. They came from India, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Nigeria and Canada with a goal to spread the gospel in Zimbabwe. Over 3000 people prayed to accept Christ, and many Christians accepted the challenge found in 2 Chronicles 7:14.
