lÉglise chrétienne évangélique de St-Eustache (Evangelical Christian Church of St-Eustache, Que.) celebrated its 25th anniversary on Saturday, October 20. More than 180 people, active members and friends of the church, came to celebrate together. In the foyer, they were greeted with a display of a hundred pictures of people and events representing 25 years of life together. For many, it was a time of reunion, reminiscing in conversation around the tables. For others, it was the future of the church that attracted their interest; their focus was not on the past but on the churchs plan for development over the next three years. Municipal councillor Julie Desmarais brought best wishes that the church would fulfill its mission. These were appropriate words, for the church has recently defined its mission as To make known to everyone the gospel of Jesus Christ in order to lead all people to live in harmony with God, with the church and with society. An audiovisual presentation illustrated this mission statement. The four pastors who have served the church spoke briefly: Robert Dagenais (197787), François A. Vermette (198789), Jean-Victor Brosseau (198996) and Stéphane Rhéaume (1997present). The event was organized by Jules and Micheline Beauchamp, Michel and Christine Mondou and numerous other volunteers.
