Separate and Peculiar. Old Order Mennonite Life in Ontario.
Waterloo, Ont: Herald Press, 2001.

This is written by Isaac R. Horst, who presents his community through the story of a typical Old Order Mennonite boy. The story takes Menno Martin from his birth, through his growing up years, his baptism, marriage and setting up a household. The book is written simultaneously in English and Pennsylvania German.

Old Colony Mennonites in Canada 1875-2000.
Steinbach, Man.: Crossway Publications Inc. 2001. Delbert Plett.

Plett has taken many of the articles published in Preservings, the historical journal of the Hanover Steinbach Historical Society, Inc., and together with some new material, placed them in an 8.5x11-sized book. Anyone interested in tracing family and church histories, particularly those of Old Mennonite background, will find a wealth of material in this well-illustrated volume.
