Stephen Mortley completed his ministry as senior pastor of Niagara Falls (Ont.) Christian Fellowship at the end of April after serving for five-and-a-half years. He has been on a four-month medical leave. Previously, he was senior pastor at Mountain Bible Church in Hamilton, Ont. for five-and-a-half years. He has a B.Th. from Heritage Baptist College in Cambridge, Ont., an M.Div. from Grand Rapids (Mich.) Baptist Seminary and a D.Min. from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, Mass. He and his wife Pamela have four children, twins Colin and Carmen, 6, Nigel, 4, and Enya, 2. They are seeking the Lord’s will for the future.



Enoch Yim has been serving as part-time youth pastor at Burnaby (B.C.) Pacific Grace Chinese Church since May 2000. He is also studying at Regent College in Vancouver. Previously, he was pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Hong Kong for five years. He has a B.Th. from a theological seminary in Hong Kong and an M.Div. from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon.



George Richert is retiring as president of Menno Simons College in Winnipeg, effective June 2001, after serving for nine years. During this time, he played a pivotal role in the development of Canadian Mennonite University as a federation of Concord College, Canadian Mennonite Bible College and Menno Simons College. Previously, he taught high school and was a principal in Saskatchewan, was a school board administrator, and was a professor and dean of the faculty of education at the University of Regina. He has a B.Ed. and M.Ed. from the University of Saskatchewan and a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta. He and his wife Pearl plan to return to Saskatchewan.



Roger Engbrecht has been appointed as the first full-time district minister of the US Mennonite Brethren Central District Conference. The CDC consists of 25 congregations in Illinois, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. Engbrecht will be pastor to pastors and serve as a resource person to the churches. Previously, he pastored Lincoln Hills Bible Church in Sioux Falls, S.D. for 13 years, Mountain Lake (Minn.) MB Church for six years and Faith Evangelical Church in Radcliffe, Iowa for five years. He is a graduate of Grace College of the Bible (now Grace University) in Omaha, Neb. He is married to Lucille.
