Winnipeg musician Steve Bell won Best Gospel Album for his album Simple Songs at the 2001 Juno Awards ceremony held Mar. 4 at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ont. Bell earlier dismissed the acoustic folk record as being too low key to win a Juno. This is the second time in four years that Bell has won a gospel Juno. In 1998, he won Best Gospel Album for Romantics & Mystics.

Christianity Online Magazine (www.Christianity.ca) is a new Canadian online magazine providing Internet uses with an array of information and resources from an evangelical Christian perspective. It has over 50 sponsors and contributors from various ministries, educational institutions and publications, including MB Herald, and offers articles on a wide range of issues such as marriage, sexuality, parenting, finances, employment and evangelism.

Direction, a journal published by MB post-secondary schools in Canada and the US and the Board of Resource Ministries, has a new Web site: www.directionjournal.org. The Web site currently contains full-text issues of the journal’s spring and fall 2000 issues and in the future will contain the issues from the 1990s. Eventually, all issues dating back to 1972 also will be included. Currently, the site’s indexes include information from the entire collection. The site includes a description of the journal, a site guide, how to contact the journal editors and subscription information. Direction will soon be available to subscribers of the American Theological Library Association Serials (ATLAS).
