Passengers flying with Delta Airlines now have the option of listening to contemporary Christian music on their headphones as one of several choices of music being offered by the airline. Delta spokesman John Kennedy says that the response has been very positive. The Gospel Music Association cosponsored the program. Evangelical Press News Service
The Parents Television Councils latest study compares and contrasts prime-time TV from last season with a similar period 10 years ago. There was 550% more foul language in 1999 than in 1989. Sexual dialogue and content rose over 300%. References to gay sex was up 2,650%. Sexual behaviour or dialogue cropped up, on average, once every four minutes in 1999. The Center for Media and Public Affairs in the US reports that 9 out of 10 shows with the most sexual content carried only a PG rating. Plugged In
The Gideons, famous for distributing Bibles in hotels around the world, distributed almost 52 million New Testaments and Bibles in 79 languages to people in 179 countries in 1999. Started by travelling salesmen in 1899, the Gideons today has 220,000 member groups. EPNS
www.passageway.org is a new Web site geared for high school students. Launched by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, the site provides a question-and-answer format that encourages spiritual growth in the Christian faith. It also features articles on pop culture and interviews with Christian authors and recording artists. EPNS

The Provincial Museum of Alberta in Edmonton is presenting an art exhibit entitled Anno Domini: Jesus through the centuries Oct. 7 Jan. 7, 2001. The purpose of the exhibit is to explore the influence that Jesus has had on people,
ideas, history and culture. The exhibit showcases 325 pieces of art, dating from the third to the 20th centuries, including paintings, statuary, iconography, textiles, stained glass etchings, illuminated manuscripts and ecclesiastical objects. The artwork is on loan from 58 institutions around the world such as the Benaki Museum in Athens, the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, the Courtauld Gallery in London and the National Gallery of Scotland.
