 Jim Coggins
Left to themselves,
orphaned by work, busyness,
divorce, neglect,
teenage hordes
seeking a substitute
turn
to a black electronic box
to scream
love, meaning and advice
into their ears
through thin wires.

At the other end,
other teenage hordes
pour
all the wisdom gleaned
from five years of
pounding on drums in a garage
into definitive pronouncements
on politics, family and love.
