CURRENTLY IN BOOKS
CT names top 10 books of 1999

Christianity Today compiled its top 10 books of 1999 in its April 24 issue. This year, books were judged in categories. Dozens of publishers were asked to nominate books for one or more categories and about 160 pastors, scholars and general readers were asked which books they believed were “the most significant books of the year” and which they had read. Awards of Merit were given to books receiving a significant number of votes but not enough to win their respective divisions.
